Refund & Dispute Policy

The GiftCardDisposal Refund Policy is designed to protect both buyers and sellers while maintaining a secure and transparent platform for converting, checking, or trading gift cards. Because gift card values are controlled by their issuing retailers and cannot always be verified instantly or independently, our refund standards are stricter than traditional digital payment platforms. Please read this policy carefully to understand how disputes, verifications, and refunds are processed on GiftCardDisposal.com.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may only be granted in situations where a clear and confirmed error has been made by GiftCardDisposal.com. This includes technical system failures, incorrect processing amounts, accidental double crediting, or internal processing mistakes. However, due to the nature of gift cards, most transactions rely on information provided by the user as well as verification from the card issuer. For this reason, gift card balances that cannot be independently verified or validated by the issuer are not eligible for guaranteed refunds.

Users acknowledge that once a gift card is submitted for evaluation, trade, or conversion, the card may be deemed non-refundable depending on its status with the issuing retailer. Cards with unknown, inconsistent, or unverifiable balances fall under this category and therefore do not qualify for automatic refunds.

2. Dispute Process

If you believe an error occurred during your transaction, you may initiate a dispute by contacting our support team. To ensure proper review of your case, the following steps must be completed:

  1. Contact our support team at support@giftcarddisposal.com and clearly state the issue you are disputing.
  2. Provide all relevant information including the gift card type, card number (if applicable), transaction ID, payment receipt, and any screenshots or evidence supporting your claim.
  3. Once all required information is submitted, our team will review your dispute carefully and respond within 3–5 business days.

Submitting incomplete details may delay the review process. Disputes filed more than 14 days after the transaction date may not qualify for investigation depending on the circumstances.

3. Balance Verification

Gift card verification is solely dependent on the issuing retailer. Some retailers provide real-time balance checks, while others require manual confirmation or may temporarily restrict verification due to system maintenance or fraud-prevention protocols.

GiftCardDisposal.com is not responsible for delays, technical issues, or refusal by retailers to confirm a balance. If a card’s balance cannot be validated, partially verified, or confirmed as active, the card cannot be refunded or returned at full value. Users acknowledge that all submitted cards must pass issuer verification for compensation to be finalized.

4. Limitation of Liability

By using our platform, you agree that GiftCardDisposal.com is not liable for discrepancies, lost value, declined balances, or deactivated cards that cannot be independently verified. Our platform provides services strictly “as-is” and without any warranty regarding expected payout amounts, turnaround times, or future card usability.

GiftCardDisposal.com also cannot be held responsible for incorrect card details submitted by users, previously redeemed cards, or cards affected by store-level fraud or misuse beyond our control. Users assume responsibility for ensuring all submitted cards are legitimate, accurate, and valid.

5. Contact Support

If you have questions about a transaction, verification delay, refund concern, or wish to open a dispute, you may contact our support team using the following channels:

This Refund & Dispute Policy may be updated periodically to reflect platform improvements, legal changes, or updates to retailer verification procedures. Users are encouraged to revisit this page regularly to ensure they are aware of the latest version.
